@jeffuhsonbethke :Spoken Word with a purpose

It's no secret Spilled Ink is a huge supporter of Spoken Word, I saw the above video circulating on several social networking sites i.e Twitter, Facebook, youtube and I took a look at comments both positive and negative and although I felt some of his thoughts were misconstrued, I also admit I was touched by his words. I think this piece did exactly what any art form is supposed to it invoked emotion and started a dialogue! I bet people who typically don’t express their thoughts on religion finally had a real conversation. And that’s art.

@PureSkyeMusic : R&B welcome back!

             Remember when R&B was sexy and seductive? Creative and Expressive? Don’t you miss those times? Don’t we wish some group would step up and personify what the game is missing?  Well exit the over saturated sounds of boy bands, manufactured artists, and premature sounds and enter Pure Skye!

Imagine a richly talented group with awesome instrumental prowess; sultry blends of vocal talent, and a new encompassment of R&B, hip hop, and soul all in one. Imagine a fresh blend of urban hip hop and soul music written with love in mind and you have the powerhouse that is Pure Skye.  Their bio via Reverb nation reads:
